Thanks for your interest in Northwest Girls Softball.
NWGS is a USA Softball affiliated recreational league. We are proud to be the largest softball league in Nevada with over 500 players across 6 age divisions (6u to 16u/18u). NWGS is committed to providing players with a variety of opportunities to grow their skills and love for the game.
Please see below for more details regarding registration and player evaluation details. Space is limited, and Registration may close early if a division is full!
Fall 2024 REGISTRATION/EVALUATION INFORMATION
Player Evaluations for ALL PLAYERS
Required Equipment:
Softball glove (required)
Softball infielders face mask (encouraged)
Softball helmet with face shield (required)
Softball bat (required)
Please don’t forget to send your player with plenty of water and in seasonally appropriate softball/athletic wear

Does my daughter need to attend player evaluations? Expand
If your player is new to NWGS or not returning to her prior season team she must attend player evaluations. Please stay close to emails from NWGS via Team Snap. You can also reach out to your prior seasons’ coach for assistance.
Are uniforms included in registration cost? Expand
Yes, each player will receive 1 jersey, 1 pair of pants, 1 set of socks and 1 belt.
NWGS has two practice slots every weekday at either 5pm-7pm or 7pm-9pm. On Saturdays teams may practice from 10am-12pm, 12pm-2pm, 2pm-4pm. Practices times are picked by coaches and vary based upon team.
Where are practices located? Expand
Most NWSG practices in Fall 2024 will at Majestic Softball Complex. Coaches may choose to host a weekly practice at a local batting cage. All batting cages are funded by teams.
Prior to games starting, teams will practice twice a week on a field. After games begin teams will get 1 practice per week on a field.
Coaches may also choose to add weekly batting cage practices at varying times. These practices are funded by teams in addition to registration fees.

NWGS will host our Fall 2024 season at Majestic Softball Complex.
When will our division games be played? Expand
Most teams will have 1 week night and 1 Saturday game each week. This may vary based upon scheduling considerations and field availability.
Game start times on weekdays are 6pm and 7:30pm. Saturday games vary between 9am-6pm.
At times, teams may play two games on Saturdays, and not always back to back. Full team schedule will be posted in TeamSnap.
Acclimate weather, or field issues may result in games being rescheduled with help from City of Las Vegas.
How many games will teams play each season? Expand
A regular NWGS season has 12 games and an End of Season Tournament.
NWGS teams are also encouraged to participate in any recreational tournaments through NWGS and/or LV Tourneys. These tournaments may have additional costs above what you paid for registration.
